Codon’s Community of Practice: Ready for Day 1

Over the last few years, we've learned a lot about how to use the platform most effectively.

Join us to share your perspective and learn from your colleagues and Codon’s education support specialists!

Who should join? New and returning instructors looking to sharpen their Codon skills before the semester starts. We'll cover everything you need to feel confident running your course.
Are you still deciding if Codon is a good fit for you? Come see what the community looks like in practice!

What we’ll cover in the first hour:

  • Why student buy-in matters—and how to make the case that using the platform is worth their time (especially with AI in the mix)

  • A refresher on the Study Path: how it works and why

  • The value and importance of alignment—connecting pre-class, in-class, and out-of-class work to your exams so students see the platform's value

Stick around for another 30 minutes to get technical… we’ll review:

  • strategies for customizing Codon for your class

  • mid-semester admin tasks like due date extensions and syncing scores to your LMS.

  • how to engage students in class with Tadpoll, our in-class polling system

If you’re new to Codon or a returning instructor—this session is built to help you hit the ground running this fall!

And don’t forget we have Office Hours!

Drop in on Codon's open office hours anytime, no need to register. Our ESS team is on hand and ready to jump into breakout rooms to talk through whatever's on your mind for your course.

August: Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 3pm ET
