Dr. Kelsey Metzger is a tenured Associate Professor in the Center for Learning Innovation at the University of Minnesota Rochester and is a broadly trained educator-scholar with expertise in genetics, evolutionary biology, bioinformatics, and biology education. Her recent education research has focused on how course-level interventions impact students' sense of community and the development of students' science identity. In addition to teaching undergraduate courses such as introductory biology and genetics, she teaches graduate seminars in pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment of student learning. Kelsey also serves as Director of Faculty Development for the Rochester campus.
